CCB Ensemble at Blue Back Square

I don't think any of us quite knew how it was all going to go down when the first ballerina stepped out of the caravan of vehicles from Connecticut Concert Ballet, but it quickly became apparent that we had a collection of some of the coolest people in Connecticut at our disposal for a few hours.

And, of course, when I say a few hours, I mean over four. We would have happily shot longer, but with a Pink Berry on one side of us, a Starbucks on the other and the Cheesecake Factory in front, we would have had a riot on our hands. The line between cute little ballerina and ravenous hamburger-craving monster is apparently a fine one.

These images are just a taste of what these eleven muses gave us today. I can't say I've ever been so inspired.

Enjoy.

Thanks, Maria! The commentary and teaser images are actually Johnathon's. He accidentally posted as me. :-) I'll make sure you get a link to the gallery when they're up. We had SO MUCH FUN!

I've been going through them this morning. They're... amazing. I'm so happy with them. Can't go wrong with CCB dancers. They're gorgeous and they really know how to dance!

HAHA We did half the shoot with their jeans on. It was planned that way because their performance is all about iPods and popular music. We wanted it to be very urban. We only had them in tutus for about a quarter of the time or less. And I agree, Johnathon did an amazing job on this shoot. His images balance mine SO well. We're fortunate to have such a good partnership. :-)
